Also unsuccessful people don't have balls to accept that they didn't do enough. Instead they keep looking for vague "luck" factors in successful people without knowing lots of other factors like hard work, persistence and on and on..which made them successful.

The Ashokkumar story (about cutting hair, etc.) seems to be bogus. How do you know what exactly happened 70-75 years ago? Your source of the story seems to be a unlucky loser as well.

Take a look at this video. He doesn't talk about luck/unluck.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsxpGTVAgI0

The more mentally disabled one is, the more they believe in luck.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10213535048587359547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4899103722933689680.post-42097988236846162602009-02-22T05:32:00.000+05:302009-02-22T05:32:00.000+05:30Luck has many ways of showing up and even when som...Luck has many ways of showing up and even when someone says they believe in it or don't there is a 'version' of that 'factor'that they are believing in.....

My Dad for example was called Lucky by many people, by being at the right place at the right time for multiple decades. After talking to him and looking deeper, it was not luck, it was his 'opportunitistic' attitude that brought him to that place with his investments in real-estate, stocks, lending-money and job. His story is much like the broker stopping by since all my childhood I saw people visiting him everyday from 8AM to 10AM, then he visits the bank, and then he goes to downtown to visit his invested-companies. All of this was done on such a massive scale starting with Rs800 in 1954, that there were MANY MANY successes (but there were many many small failures). For 10 Multibagger Investments (in all asset classes), he had 1 not making it. But, no one knew that one.

My wife's uncle is a big shot in Gandhidham, and he has the same 1 in 10 losers and 9 in 10 winners, but in his circle he is called 'lucky'.

Luck is defined as the 'Hand of God'.....That was my Dad's best saying, and he always said that if you have faith, do the right thing all of you life, and don't expect the miracles in the short term, you will see Lady Luck.

So, there's my story of belief (in my own way).....

KKPKennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05092287819840971167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4899103722933689680.post-57153457491213975652009-02-10T10:01:00.000+05:302009-02-10T10:01:00.000+05:30Thanks rajeev for your valuable commentsSivaThanks rajeev for your valuable comments

Sivasivahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12630606538715817184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4899103722933689680.post-34043505099867697512009-02-09T09:27:00.000+05:302009-02-09T09:27:00.000+05:30Thanks Rajeev for putting down your valuable infor...Thanks Rajeev for putting down your valuable information on Balasore Alloy.OMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04049467392053249378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4899103722933689680.post-24057228335466023972009-02-08T19:24:00.000+05:302009-02-08T19:24:00.000+05:30Dear Rajeev,Thanks for your reply.Regards,JayapalDear Rajeev,

Thanks for your reply.

Regards,

JayapalJayapalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15868908639450175025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4899103722933689680.post-20229177397143951982009-02-06T18:54:00.000+05:302009-02-06T18:54:00.000+05:30Dear OM,I already posted it on 30th Jan,09.Seems y...Dear OM,
I already posted it on 30th Jan,09.
Seems you missed it.
Copyimg it here:
"Dear OM,
I like Balasore Alloy and if I do not forget I also recomended once here.
It has given great results in Sep qr but need to be seen how the next2-3 qr follows.
It was 5 paid up and now 10 paid hence at Rs 11.54 it is worth a look. The only concern is the slow down of world economy and in perticular China the major comsumeer of Steel and steel products.
But according to me world economy is going to get back on rail sooner then the experts and analyst are thinking.
One can add in staggered manner as the managenment is dynamic and they are also having expansion plans and also venturing in Mines in Brazil.....
Seems a very good value pick at Rs 11.50....

January 30, 2009 11:33 AM"Rajeev Desaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13770541646082106675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4899103722933689680.post-72286310857072056442009-02-06T16:19:00.000+05:302009-02-06T16:19:00.000+05:30Rajeev,Any comment on BALASORE ALLOY?Rajeev,

Any comment on BALASORE ALLOY?OMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04049467392053249378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4899103722933689680.post-22650141587972901532009-02-05T04:20:00.000+05:302009-02-05T04:20:00.000+05:30Dear Jaypal,I can only say that whatever I have se...Dear Jaypal,
I can only say that whatever I have selected are worth buying or holding. No chnage in that.
Prices can still go down from here.
FII's are selling stocks which they bought at 200 , at 20....so there is still some distress selling from FII as well.
One stock I like other then listed is Apar Ind...Promoters are buying.Just a few days back I saw that promoters bought around 4 lacs shares around Rs 78.Apar Ind can still go down below 50 or even 40......
A very good stock for LT with good fundamentals.Sales turnover is Rs 2500 cr and stock availabke at just 210 Mcap at cmp of 78....if it goes down then it is worth a look...very sound fundamentals.....
BTW, Madhucon Project came out with another excellent result.....
Worth a look at it as well...Maytas loss is gains for other Infra stocks liek Madhucon Pro, JMC Pro etc....Rajeev Desaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13770541646082106675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4899103722933689680.post-44564114574081136592009-02-05T04:11:00.000+05:302009-02-05T04:11:00.000+05:30Dear Shiva,I still like Sujana Towers. The results ...Dear Shiva,
I still like Sujana Towers. The results are poor but still I like it.
It is worth holding and adding or averaging.....
Due diligence is a must.Take your own call.I can't say how long the slow down will continue...so no guessing when it can move...Rajeev Desaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13770541646082106675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4899103722933689680.post-10611922894364178322009-02-04T19:05:00.000+05:302009-02-04T19:05:00.000+05:30Dear RajeevYou have given multibagger's list earl...Dear Rajeev

You have given multibagger's list earlier. Do you see any reason why profit has dipped so much? I see a increase in Raw Material cost from 80crs to 99crs? Why there is such a increase in cost when every commodity is down in last 3 months.

Can you give us few more thoughts about company? I have invested around 250 shares at 110. If u see the first story, for the Dalal it was a very clear business proposition (Not Luck or anything) only thing was that for him your relative was the only person who might give him money.

About the Ashok kumar story, if we look from the side of Himanshu Roy , he might have his own reasons to cast Ashok kumar.

I had once bought RPL at Rs 210. I would have been 'lucky' if I had sold it at 260. But I did not, as I know absolutely nothing about the market.

so I think being lucky is just about perspective.unohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07640881378630972575noreply@blogger.com
