  4. its very simple from my point of view. i dont know of a single e-waste listed cpy in india so they are getting first mover advantage. plus developed countries like US, UK have lot of e-waste to dispose of and if that can be recycled back then it would do wonders for pollution control so its politically correct sector to be in so there should be some benefits announced for this sector soon.
i also read some article in economic times how e-waste mgmt will be a very big problem in couple of years so this cpy is ready to solve some part of the problem so they will get good order flows.
so i would say look at e-waste division of cpy as main buy reason than cheap laptop

  5. dear prshntha,
thnx for sharing information. ya u right we should think in terms of e-waste.
Also can u give some light on this correction, how long it can last? Now one of my frnd is talking abt. 12300 fig. he has 10 years of experience in market altough less technical knowlege.

  6. Hi ahmed,
Well, One of my friend told me that HCL's Rs 14,000 Laptop will be having a monitor of just 7 inch...Now check this out....if it is 7 inch monitor then what will be the HD's GB, Ram GB?motherboatrd...etc?
HCL is not a company who sells cheap...that is my experinace..just look at the catridge prices of printers and u will get what I mean to say...
hence if HCL is selling Laptop at 14,000 then there should be nothing to write about except the price....

  7. Hi Ahmed,
Rajeev is the guru out here i am just a newbie so take my views with a a pinch of salt.i am putting my views based on what has rajeev put on the blog.
first 700 billion$ coming into india for 3-4 years, US subprime loss to be just 300 billion $ where as Soveriegn wealth funds in asia have roughly 3000$ billion$ so they will help out financial crisis plus if you consider oil rich countries like saudi whose value should have doubled when oil became 100$, subprime issue will go waya in couple of months. US economy is a resilient one and even if it goes into recession it will bounce back in a quarter or two. i dont think we have to worry about this short term correction, india is still the market to be in bec just look around you and see what sort of development is needed to bring India to state like developed country like US in terms of roads, bridges, power, food etc and you will realise the amount of investment we will need and now everybody is believing with these liberal govt policy they will get piece of this growth change. those investment will go to india cpys to develop india and i feel personally the engine of india has been jump started and small issues like subprime which are temporary cant stall it.
as for stocks recommended by rajeev, you dont have to worry-hold them thro the correction if possible add on more.

  8. Dear rajeev,
ya i understand wat u wanted to say. one more thing if one will see allied announcement "The ACi ultra-mini is a full laptop with VIA 1.0 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, 40 GB HDD and WiFi enabled. It weighs a mere 950 grams and house a 7" TFT screen."
so the screen of HCL and allied is same.
